Knowledge, attitude, and practices toward osteoporosis among Jordanian nurses

Abstract Objective To identify the level of knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) toward osteoporosis among Jordanian nurses. Methods A cross-sectional design was adopted in this study. convenience sample 443 nurses were recruited from public private healthcare settings Jordan. The assessment tool used current study contained 35 items, measuring KAP osteoporosis. correlation Pearson test regression to analyze data using Statistical Package for Social Sciences, version 21. Results total scores 33.53, 37.65, 22.7, respectively. These results revealed that have a moderate Conclusions showed osteoporosis, which should be improved as an effective step reducing growing incidences lack holds serious impact on health sector patients’ terms cost, resources, social life. Nurses can play valuable role educating patients bone fracture causes, perceived percentage, risks, prevention, well helping them with nutrition lifestyle recommendations.
